With 3,167 career hits Albert Pujols set the record for most career hits by a foreign-born player in MLB History. In the process he surpassed Adrian Beltre on an RBI single to right field in the fourth inning against the Pirates in a 7-4 win. The single helped Pujols move into 15th place on the all-time hits list. Pujols went 2-for-4 with three RBI, adding a two-run single in the eighth.
