After walking off Team Mexico in the semifinals, Team Japan has a date with Team USA on Wednesday night to determine which nation will be crowned the 2023 World Baseball Classic champion. The semifinal meeting was highly competitive, but it was Team Japan who ultimately left the field victorious, 6-5, after Munetaka Murakami connected for a walk-off, two-run double in the ninth inning.
