New York Mets rookie Carson Benge showcased some more of his potential in his team's 7-3 victory in San Diego. Collecting his first career five-hit contest, including a solo shot, the leadoff man became the fourth franchise rookie to do so in a single game and the first since 2019 (Pete Alonso). "Today was nice," Benge said. "Being able to do that was pretty special."
