The New York Mets saved their best for last, erupting for a franchise-record 10 runs in the 12th inning of a 16-7 win. With the score tied at 6-6 against Washington, the Queens-based team hammered the Nationals in historic fashion. The Mets became just the seventh Club ever to score double-digit runs in a single extra inning and the first since 1983 (Texas Rangers).
