Chicago Cubs legendary hurler Kerry Wood was on hand for a ceremonial first pitch at the friendly confines of Wrigley Field. Just as he did in his heyday, the 1998 NL Rookie of the Year Award winner fired a strike to the plate. Twenty-eight years to the day (May 6, 1998), Wood collected his astonishing Cubs single-game record 20-strikeout performance.
