Dominic Canzone delivered an offensive showcase for Seattle against the Kansas City Royals. The young slugger went 5-for-5 with the first three-homer game of his career in a 12-5 Mariners road victory. Canzone becomes just the second player in franchise history with five hits and three home runs in a single game, joining Mickey Brantley (1987).
