The Toronto Blue Jays rewrote the record books with an offensive explosion in a three-game sweep of the Colorado Rockies. The top team in the American League overpowered the Rockies with a 20-1 series finale win. Toronto's 63 hits in the series were the most ever by a team in the Modern Era (since 1901), and their 45 runs scored set a franchise record for a three-game set.
