Adding to the next chapter in the storied rivalry between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees, Marcelo Mayer made his mark in the series-opening contest. Playing in the Bronx for the first time, the 22-year-old led off the top of the fifth frame with his first career MLB blast that landed in the right-field bleachers.
