The Washington Nationals set the tone early in their road matchup with the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Club came out firing on all cylinders, as the first 11 batters reached base safely, tallying nine runs before the first out of the game. Those nine runs before recorded the first out of the game tied the 1948 Philadelphia Phillies for most such runs by an NL club. The early offensive explosion carried the team to an 11-7 triumph.
