The first game of Monday's doubleheader between the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves was an all-time classic. With each team needing a win to advance to the Postseason, it was the Mets who came out on top thanks to the heroics of superstar shortstop Francisco Lindor. With his team trailing 7-6 in the ninth inning, Lindor stepped to the plate with one out and one runner on. He proceeded to crush a go-ahead, game-winning two-run homer, giving the Mets the lead in a dramatic 8-7 triumph.
