Working with a 4-1 lead in the eighth inning, the 24-year-old ripped a solo shot to left field to tack on another run. Witt Jr.'s first hit in August marked deep ball number 20 on the season, making him the first MLB player ever to begin his career with three straight 20-plus homer and 20-plus steal campaigns. He's batting a ridiculous .500 over his last 15 games.
