Cincinnati Reds outfielder Stuart Fairchild got a chance to show off his speed with his lone plate appearance in Friday's win, 4-2. The 28-year-old entered the game as a pinch-hitter in the eighth inning and was determined to make the best of it. Hammering a fastball to the left-center field wall, Fairchild rounded the bases and turned on the jets to reach home plate safely. He's the latest Reds player since Champ Summer (1977) to come off the bench and record an inside-the-park homer.
