The Arizona Diamondbacks, fresh off their National League pennant performance in 2023, picked up right where they left off against the Colorado Rockies in their season opener. In the bottom of the third inning, the lineup caught fire, scoring a whopping 14 runs. That total is tied for the fourth-most by a team in an inning since 1900 and it's the most ever in an Opening Day frame. The effort powered the Diamondbacks to a one-sided 16-1 victory.
