Superstar shortstop Elly De La Cruz continued to flash his top-tier combination of power and speed during the first full month of the 2024 MLB campaign. The Dominican Republic native hammered a 443-foot blast over the center-field wall to grab an early 1-0 lead in the opening frame. With eight home runs and 18 steals on the season, De La Cruz became the first player to rack up that many in both categories in a single month since at least 1901.
