New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge wasted no time, taking the 2022 American League Cy Young Award winner Justin Verlander deep on the first pitch to open the fifth inning. The solo shot was Judge's 30th dinger of the season and the 250th of his career, making him the fastest player in MLB history to reach that many homers in the fewest games played (810). His effort helped his team secure a 6-2 road win over the Houston Astros.
