すごい。本当にすごい。クリーブランド・ガーディアンズのガブリエル・アリアスは、水曜日の試合で起きた荒れ狂うプレーの中で、カンザスシティ・ロイヤルズの捕手フレディ・フェルミンが与えたスペースを最大限に活用しようとした。ほぼ隙間がない状況だったが、アリアスは本能的にフェルミンの脚の下をスライディングしてタッチの前にホームベースに到達することを思いついた。ユーティリティプレイヤーのアリアスは初め、アウトと判定されたが、ビデオレビューの結果、審判は判定を覆しアリアスのホームセーフを宣告した。それは瞬時のハイライトとなり、スタジアムに詰めかけたファンだけでなく、野球界全体を魅了した。

Wow. Just wow. Cleveland Guardians player Gabriel Arias did his best to use the space Kansas City Royals catcher Freddy Fermin gave him during a wild play during Wednesday's contest. There was hardly any free space, but somehow Arias thought to instinctively slide under Fermin's legs to touch the plate before the tag. The utility man was initially called out, but after further review the officials overturned the call and ruled Arias safe at home. It was a instant highlight and it certainly wowed not just the fans in attendance but the entire Baseball world as well.
