New York Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez lives by the saying that two (home) runs are better than one. The red-hot catcher got things started early against the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday, smashing a first-inning homer into the second deck. The next blast came five innings later when the rookie launched another bomb for an 11-4 lead. The two shots put Alvarez at 19 on the year, the second-most in a season for a catcher aged 21-or-younger in MLB history. Furthermore, that was his third multi-homer game of the season, trailing only Darryl Strawberry, who had four at age-21 in 1983.
