There's something in the water in Cincinnati these days it seems. Another one of the team's young stars had a great outing on Saturday as Andrew Abbott made his second career start against the St. Louis Cardinals. The 24-year-old was lights-out, twirling five and two-thirds scoreless frames and becoming the first Reds pitcher to win his first two Major League starts since Reiver Sanmartin in 2021. More impressive than that, he's the first Reds player since 1893 to begin his career with consecutive starts of five or more scoreless innings.
