About one month ago, Shohei Ohtani and Masataka Yoshida were squad-mates on Team Japan for the 2023 World Baseball Classic. Yesterday, they faced off against each other, representing the Angels and Boston Red Sox, respectively, for the first time on a Major League Baseball diamond. In true Ohtani fashion, with two outs in the bottom of the first inning, the Angels dual-threat stunned the fresh-faced Red Sox outfielder with a 98-mph four-seamer to retire the side.
