Nelson Cruz helped the Washington Nationals get in the win column with his 450th career longball in a game against the New York Mets. The designated hitter slugged his first home run of the 2022 season in the first inning to put the Washington Nationals ahead, 1-0. Later in the game, the veteran slugger singled to drive in the two game-deciding runs in an eventual 4-2 win over their NL East Division rivals.
