Thursday night's showdown between the Chicago White Sox and visiting Boston Red Sox was a high-scoring affair, with a final tally of 16-7. Although it was the visitors coming away with the victory, the home team got a career-high night at the plate from Andrew Vaughn. The 24-year-old cracked a three-run double in the third inning, and followed up with a two-run shot in the fifth. The five-RBI performance was a career-best mark for the former first-round selection.
