Rookie starting pitcher Alex Faedo earned the first win of his Major League Baseball career in his Detroit Tigers 4-2 victory over the Cleveland Guardians yesterday. Faedo spent five and one third innings on the mound, allowing just two runs, and striking out two Guardians batters. After having survived a 29-pitch, but runless, first inning, Faedo managed to regain control and finish his performance with the utmost professionalism.
