During the first inning of yesterday afternoon's meeting between the Seattle Mariners and Oakland Athletics, Robbie Ray picked up the 1,500th strikeout of his Major League Baseball career. Remarkably, Ray became just the second fastest player in history to pass this milestone, which offered Mariners fans a substantial silver lining to the Club's eventual 10-3 loss on the day.
