The New York Yankees made a huge splash before the MLB Trade Deadline comes near an end by acquiring Joey Gallo from the Texas Rangers. At age 27, Gallo has been named to two MLB All-Star teams and has already clubbed 25 longballs this season. Only two-and-half games out of the AL Wild Card game, the Bronx Bombers added the left-handed weapon they needed to spring them into striking position. In return, the New York Yankees dealt the Texas Rangers a plethora of top 30 prospects within the Yankees farm system.
