With two outs and bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth inning, Kris Bryant stepped up to bat for the National League as they trailed 5-2. The 6-foot-5 slugger torched a 96-mph heater delivered from Matt Barnes and drove it to shallow left-field. Jared Walsh came crashing in on the line drive and made an all-out, sliding grab to preserve the lead for the AL All-Stars. The AL All-Stars would go on to win 5-2 for their eighth straight MLB All-Star Game victory.
