The Toronto Blue Jays selected Alek Manoah with the 11th overall pick in the first round of the 2019 MLB Draft. Just two years removed, the 23-year-old righty made his MLB debut against division rival, the New York Yankees. Manoah entered his Thursday's contest as the Blue Jays number five overall prospect and reassured why he earned this status. Alek tossed scattered two hits over six scoreless innings and fanned seven batters. The rookie's efforts set the tone for the 2-0 win at Yankee Stadium.
