In a matchup between the two Ohio Cup participants, Cleveland demonstrated patience with timely hitting enroute to a lopsided victory. Limited to three runs on four hits over the first five innings facing Reds starter Luis Castillo, the Indians really pulled away during the seventh inning. Four singles, a double and a homer from Jose Ramirez, along with five walks issued by Reds pitchers resulted in a ten-run inning. Ramirez led the charge for Cleveland, going 3-for-4 with two home runs.
