Hyun-Jin helped punch Toronto's ticket to the Postseason on Thursday night, tossing seven shutout innings against the Yankees in a 4-1 victory. The 33-year-old saved his best start of the year for last, becoming the first Blue Jays starter to work into the seventh inning this season. Those seven scoreless frames lowered his ERA on the season to 2.69 as his record improved to 5-2. Toronto will now play in the Postseason for the first time since 2016.
