Shane has asserted himself as one of the premier strikeout pitchers in the game over the last two seasons and now has some history to prove it. With his whiff of Ryan Jeffers in the fifth inning of Friday night's game against the Twins, he recorded his 100th strikeout of the season in just 62.1 innings pitched, the fastest to ever reach that mark in baseball history. Bieber has struck out at least 8 batters in each of his each starts this season, with a high mark of 14 back on July 24.
