Triston McKenzie dominated the Tigers in his MLB debut, hurling six innings of one-run ball and striking out 10 batters. The stellar performance was the best demonstration of swing-and-miss stuff by an Indians pitcher since Luis Tiant debuted with 11 punchouts in 1964. If his first start and track record in the Minors are any indication, Triston is poised to add yet another dangerous arm to the remarkable Indians starting rotation.
