The long-anticipated MLB debut for Casey finally took place on Wednesday evening, and the 23-year-old certainly demonstrated that he has the talent to pitch in the big leagues. The former 1st overall pick from the 2018 MLB draft struck out seven White Sox batters in 4 1/3 innings, including punchouts of Yoan Moncada and Eloy Jimenez in the bottom of the first inning. His counterpart, White Sox starter Dane Dunning, was also making his MLB debut. Both starters collected seven strikeouts, the most for two pitchers debuting since 1901.
