Billy Hamilton took the Seattle Mariners by surprise when he used his elite speed to score from second base on a sacrifice fly ball. Hamilton took advantage of a deep fly ball that brought Mallex Smith to a knee on the warning track and blazed around third before the throw reached the infield. Hamilton slid into home, beating the throw with ease.
