In the bottom of the seventh inning, Ian Desmond came to the plate as a pinch hitter and demolished a go-ahead home run. The solo blast marked the longest home run of 2019, travelling 486 feet, per Statcast. The monster home run put the Colorado Rockies ahead 5-4 in an eventual 6-5 win over the Chicago Cubs.
