Austin Riley collected his 8th home run of the season on a decisive, two-run homer in the sixth inning of the Braves 10-5 win over the Tigers. This marks the most home runs through the first 16 games ever by a Braves player. Riley joins Rhys Hoskins, Trevor Story and Carlos Delgado as the only players in MLB history with 8+ HR through their first 16 career games. 22 RBI in that same span ties the MLB record as well.
