Pablo Sandoval became the second player in the Modern Era to hit a home run, steal a base and produce a scoreless outing as a pitcher. Sandoval reached on an error in the top of the second inning and later stole third base, before hitting a three-run home run in the sixth inning. In the middle of his big day, with the San Francisco Giants trailing, 12-4, Sandoval entered the game as a pitcher and completed a scoreless inning.
