Elvis Luciano entered the game in the top of the 11th inning after the Oakland Athletics took the lead. The 19-year-old right-hander, who is the first player born in the 2000s to debut in MLB, limited the damage and recorded the final out of the inning. The Toronto Blue Jays rewarded his efforts, mounting an improbable comeback that ended with a walk-off single and made Luciano the youngest pitcher in franchise history to be credited with a win.
