With the New York Yankees trailing, 3-1, in the bottom of the seventh inning, Brett Gardner ripped an 0-2 fastball over the right-field wall for a go-ahead grand slam. The blast put the Yankees ahead, 5-3, and marked Gardner's 100th career home run. Gardner joined Derek Jeter as just the second player to hit 100 home runs and steal 250 bases in franchise history.
