Team Mexico outfielder Randy Arozarena has been the heart and soul of the club throughout the 2023 World Baseball Classic - and he proved it once again late on Friday night. Arozarena made the play of the night in the top of the eighth inning - tracking an Emmanuel Rivera drive all the way to the outfield wall before leaping and snagging the ball for the second out. Named Pool C Most Valuable Player before the game, Arozarena and Team Mexico move on to the semifinals to take on Team Japan.
