San Diego Padres hurler Yu Darvish continued to age like fine wine with another stellar outing in Sunday's victory, 9-1. The 37-year-old tossed seven innings of two-hit ball to go along with a season-high nine strikeouts against the Atlanta Braves. Not only did Darvish pick up his fourth victory of 2024, but he tallied the 200th professional baseball win of his career, through both MLB and NPB. The right-hander joins Hiroki Kuroda (203) and Hideo Nomo (201) as the only Japanese pitchers to achieve such a feat.
