The Arizona Diamondbacks called their top overall prospect into action to open a four-game set against the Chicago Cubs on Thursday. Shortstop Jordan Lawlar was slotted into the starting lineup and was looking for an opportunity to make an impact. The young up-and-comer got his moment, using his impressive speed to beat out an infield throw to first base in the fourth inning. At 21 years and 52 days old, Lawlar becomes the third-youngest player in franchise history to record his first MLB hit, joining Justin Upton and Edgar Gonzalez.
