There's nothing like getting your first career hit in your first Major League Baseball game, especially just 40 days after hearing your name called at the MLB Draft. The Angels selected Nolan Schanuel as their first-round pick (11th overall). Last night, the 21-year-old delivered a one-out single over the leaping Tampa Bay Rays shortstop in the seventh inning to reach first base, picking up the first hit of his big-league career. The fresh-faced infielder made additional history by taking part in his Club's first triple play since 1977.
