With one of Baseball's hottest teams in town, New York Mets pitcher Kodai Senga put the Tampa Bay Rays bats on ice. The 30-year-old was outstanding over six innings, striking out a career-high 12 batters, while allowing just three hits. Those dozen punchouts set a Club record for a Japanese-born hurler, and saw him become only the fifth pitcher hailing from the country to notch double-digit strikeouts in a single contest.
