Yesterday, top Diamondbacks prospect Alek Thomas made his Major League Baseball debut in a contest between his Club and the Colorado Rockies. Thomas not only made his debut, but also notched the first hit of his MLB career when he doubled in the fifth inning, and with a bit of baserunning gusto, capitalized on a Colorado error to record his first career run as well. Expectations are high for the 22-year-old Chicago, Illinois native, whose clutch double helped his Diamondbacks best the Colorado Rockies, 4-0.
