In the final game in a series that pitted the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs against each other, Walker Buehler made his 100th Major League Baseball start, and earned his fourth win of the 2022 campaign. Buehler threw for seven innings, keeping the Chicago Cubs to only one run, striking out seven batters on the way to a 7-1 Dodgers victory. His incredible performance lowered his career WHIP as a starter to 0.99, which is the lowest among all pitchers through their first 100 starts since 1901.
