Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Yariel Rodríguez made history in his MLB debut. The 27-year-old right-hander became the first Cuban-born player to start a game on the mound for the Blue Jays. Rodríguez flashed his full arsenal, striking out six batters to limit the damage to one earned run. "I've been waiting for this moment my entire life," he said through a team interpreter. "A lot of sacrifices, a lot of hard work." His effort helped to edge out the visiting Colorado Rockies, 5-3.
