Masanori Murakami - 2024 MLB TOPPS NOW® Card 203 - PR: 1540
San Francisco Giants fans were in for a treat on Friday, honoring a trailblazer on Japanese Heritage Night. Before the start of the game, former Giants pitcher Masanori Murakami graced the Oracle Park mound for first pitch duties. To no one's surprise, the left-hander delivered a strike to home plate. Though Murakami played for a short time, he became the first Japanese player in MLB history when he took the bump on September 1, 1964.
