New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso slugged his way into MLB record books in Saturday's matchup. Debuting the new City Connect jerseys at Citi Field, the "Polar Bear" went the opposite way to right field with a two-run shot in the fifth inning. It was Alonso's 200th career homer, making him the fourth-fastest player (710 games) in history to collect that many. "It was a really special moment," the 29-year-old said regarding the milestone.
