Last night, top-ranked Texas Rangers prospect Evan Carter made his Major League Baseball debut in his Club's bout with the Oakland Athletics. The 21-year-old, Elizabethton, Tennessee native picked up the first hit of his big-league career, a second-inning single, in his very first at-bat. What's more, moments later, Carter notched the first stolen base of his career as well. Even more, Carter, who's the number-eight-ranked prospect according to MLB Pipeline, collected his first walk in his final plate appearance to round out what was a notable MLB debut.
