Pete Alonso - 2023 MLB TOPPS NOW® Card 627 - PR: 662
New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso was locked in at the plate on Friday night in Flushing, Queens. He belted his 29th home run of the season in the fifth to give his Club a 3-0 lead over the Washington Nationals. The "Polar Bear" showed off his strength once again in the seventh, going the opposite way to right field with a two-run shot, picking up his 30th homer and second of the game. It was Alonso's 17th career multi-home run game, and it made him only the second Mets player with four seasons of 30+ home runs. The only other player to do that is franchise great and someone Alonso looked up to, Mike Piazza.
