Boston Red Sox rookie outfielder Masataka Yoshida chipped in with two safeties in his Club's 13-hit attack on Friday night that resulted in an 8-3 win against the Chicago Cubs. The Japanese-import has swung one of Boston's most potent bats recently, as this was his eighth consecutive multi-hit performance. This is the most from a left-handed Red Sox hitter since Hall-of-Famer Ted Williams back in 1940.
